Matthew is a graduate in Economics from the University of Bristol, he then studied for a Diploma in Strategy. He first joined GSK in 1991 and worked in various logistics, supply chain and internal consulting roles. He then worked in strategy consulting for five years with Applied Value Corporation and the Strategy practice of Computer Science Corporation. He rejoined GSK in 2003 as Project Director in Supply Chain IT and went on to be Head of Supply Chain Processes & Education, and then VP International Logistics. He then took the role in 2010 as Head of Supply Chain Logistics reshaping the function, leading the programme to reduce cost to serve and playing a central role in developing the end to end supply chain model and supporting processes. He was appointed as SVP Supply Chain Strategy in July 2013.
