What the day will involve
In the morning the Cabinet Office Race Disparity Audit Team who created and maintain the Ethnicity Facts and Figures website launched by the Prime Minister in October, will present on website and policy actions. They will explore, with employer questions, the culture within organisations to help frame the context of the thematic review with Queen Mary University, using the Race at Work insight from 2015 and 2018.
The topic for the afternoon will be around supporting fathers and carers in the workplace in relation to the Equal Lives research which, in partnership with Santander UK, aims to highlight the key barriers and enablers to men in work caring more. A growing number of fathers want a better balance between work and family, but many feel invisible in the workplace and under pressure to appear unrestricted by family responsibilities. We want to change this so employers can allow men and women to fulfil their potential, both at home and at work.
Please note: These sessions are exclusively for champion members of the Business in the Community gender and race equality campaigns and are by invitation only.
