The Times Top 50 Employers for Women is the UK’s most highly profiled and well-established listing of employers leading the way on workplace gender equality. These employers make gender equality part of their business strategy at all levels.
Entrants also have the opportunity, through one application process, to enter Business in the Community Gender Equality Awards. These awards are the UK’s most respected for gender equality in the workplace. They celebrate outstanding progress and examples of best practice, impact, innovation and individual achievement.

The Times Top 50 Employers for Women

It is free to enter The Times Top 50 Employers for Women. All entries are expertly assessed, and the Top 50 list identified. To be included in the list, each organisation pays a promotion fee of £1,250 + VAT

The promotion fee includes internal use of The Times Top 50 Employers for Women 2019 logo, profile in the print and tablet supplements, published in April 2019, prominent listing on The Times and Sunday Times Appointments website and the Business in the Community gender equality website.

Only the 50 organisations identified as Top Employers will be eligible to be considered for a Business in the Community Gender Equality Award in the following three categories:

Gender Equality Awards

1. Gender Equality Award
Organisations with particularly high performance across the whole entry form will be considered for this prestigious title. Up to five finalists will be selected and invited to a judging panel of external experts that will take place in May 2019 and from which a single winner will be chosen. Assessment criteria for this award will be against additional elements including strategy and sustainability; impact and transformational change and innovation.

2. Gender Equality Game Changer Award
Diversity experts will review high-performing case studies from section 3 of the entry form and select up to ten best practice examples. The case studies that  demonstrate outstanding progress or transformational change and/or innovation will be considered for the Gender Equality Game Changer Award.

3. Gender Champion Award
This award category is for a senior executive who has made a remarkable contribution to championing gender balance and equality of opportunity in her / his organisation. Up to three finalists will be selected and invited to a judging panel of external gender equality experts that will take place in March 2019 and from which a single winner will be chosen.
